The world’s first racket Iga Sventek (Poland) successfully started the tough WTA 250 series tournament held in Warsaw (Poland).
Lost to polka in the 1/16 final of the competition Nigina Abduraimova (Uzbekistan, WTA 181) 1 hour 37 minutes.

It was the first meeting of tennis players.
In the second round of the tournament, Iga will play the winner of the Claire Liu vs Yuan Yue match.
Sventek topped the list of entries for the US Open 2023, which will start on August 28.
Previously, Ukrainian Daria Snigur left the competition in Warsaw, losing to Clara Tauson.
