4th racket of the world Kei Nishikori (Japan) successfully started the tough ATP 250 series tournament held in Atlanta (USA).
In the 1/16 final of the competition, the Japanese were defeated. Jordan Thompson (Australia, ATP 63) 2 hours 28 minutes.

It was the 4th meeting of tennis players. Nishikori won the 3rd match.
In the next round of the tournament, the winner of the match will play against Shang Juncheng – Ben Shelton.
Note that for the first time since October 2021, Nishikori played in the main draw of an ATP tournament and won a match.
