Former Russian tennis player, winner of two Grand Slam tournaments in mixed doubles Andrei Olkhovsky, commented on the defeat of Darya Kasatkina from the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Montreal, noting that the Russian woman showed good tennis.
The third racket of the tournament Rybakin on Friday beat the 10th seeded Kasatkina with a score of 5:7, 7:5, 7:6 (10:8).
– Daria is now showing good tennis. The match was very exciting. And I don’t see anything unusual in the fact that Kasatkina didn’t apply for the match twice. In women’s tennis, the serve does not play such an important role. For some, it is even easier to accept than to give. It was a good match against a good opponent. And Rybakina can be congratulated on such a difficult victory, – quotes the words of Olkhovsky “RB Sport”.
In the semifinals, Rybakina will face another Russian woman, Ludmila Samsonova, seeded 15th.
