“De Minor coped with Medvedev’s tactics and showed good tennis” – Olkhovsky
Soviet and Russian tennis player Andrey Olkhovsky called the defeat of Daniil Medvedev from Australian Alex De Minor in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Toronto unexpected.
The meeting took place on Friday and ended with the score 6:7 (7:9), 5:7.
— A relatively unexpected result. I don’t really like these constant doubles from Daniil, which are on breakpoints, on match points. Daniil played in the court, tried to choke the pace, but De Minor coped with this tactic. Alex showed good tennis. And Daniel had a lot of unforced errors, which is unusual for him, – Olkhovsky is quoted by RB Sport.
