Lyudmila Samsonova for the first time in her career became the first racket of Russia

Russian tennis player Lyudmila Samsonova has risen to 12th position in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking, the new version of which was published on Monday on the organization’s website.
On Sunday, Samsonova lost to American Jessica Pegula in the final of the WTA 1000 tournament in Montreal, Canada – 1:6, 0:6. Thus, for the first time in her career, Samsonova became the first racket of Russia.
Another Russian Daria Kasatkina moved to 13th place.
The top 10 rating remained unchanged, it is still headed by Iga Swiatek from Poland.
