Forgotten feelings. Venus Williams sensationally won the tournament in Cincinnati.
American tennis player Venus Williams (No. 533 WTA) beat the first round of the tournament in Cincinnati. The 43-year-old US representative scored a victory over Veronika Kudermetova (#16 WTA).
Williams managed to beat an opponent in the top 20 in the Women’s Tennis Federation for the first time since 2019.
In the second round of the tournament, Venus Williams will face Chinese Wen Zheng Qin (WTA No. 24) or Alexandra Sosnovich (WTA No. 74).
