Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina announced her decision to withdraw from the WTA tournament held in Cincinnati, USA.

“Unfortunately I have some pain in my legs after Wimbledon and I was advised to go check out after Montreal which showed some issues that needed to be addressed and rested so I couldn’t play in Cincinnati this year. I was really disappointed to be out of the game anywhere.

But I love the fans in Cincinnati and playing in front of them, which makes this decision even more difficult. But I must follow the advice the doctor gave me. Now I will do my best to rest and recover for the US Open. Thank you for your understanding,” said Svitolina.

Recall that in the first round match, Svitolina had to face Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark.
