Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko reached the 1/8 finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, USA, where she will meet with Russian Daria Kasatkina.
In the second round, the second racket of the world beat American Ann Lee in three sets with a score of 7:5, 2:6, 6:4. Sobolenko filed right through 4 times, made 4 double faults and converted 4 out of 8 break points.
Kasatkina defeated the American Piton Stearns (6:2, 6:1) in the first round, and knocked out Varvara Gracheva (6:3, 6:1) in the second round, who changed her sports citizenship from Russian to French
