A 2-1 loss and elimination for Maria Sakkari, who lost to Karolina Mukhova in the “16” stage of the Cincinnati Masters.
Maria Sakkari, who suffered a 2-1 set loss to Karolina Mukhova in the Round of 16, was banned from the Cincinnati Masters.
Karolina Mukhova was better on the court early in the game, winning the first set 6-3 in games while Maria Sakkari was still looking for the footing she found in the second set.
The Greek tennis player showed a significant improvement and managed to draw 6-2 in the matches with relative ease. However, in the final and deciding set, Mukhova didn’t leave room for Sakkari and won the third set 6-3, qualifying for the quarterfinals of the tournament.
In the next round the Czech tennis player will play against the winner of the pair Buzkova and Pegula.
