Bindl beat best place at start of tournament in Chicago

Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl (No. 83 WTA) started off successfully in the challenging WTA 125 series tournament held in Chicago (USA).

In the first round of the competition, the Ukrainian player defeated the seeded Arancia Rus from the Netherlands (#44 WTA) in two sets.

It was the second match of tennis players, the Ukrainian won again.

Note that Bindl interrupted 18 defeat streaks against his top 50 opponents. The last time Katya beat one of the top fifty at the tournament in Madrid in 2019, Karolina Pliskova at the time was the fifth racket in the world.

In the next round, the winner of the match will play against Sophie Chung (#312 WTA) from the USA.
