Krutykh lost to former 5th racket of the world in the opening match of the US Open 2023 selection

Ukrainian tennis player Alexei Krutykh (ATP 219) lost in the opening round of the US Open qualifiers.

In the first round of the election, the Ukrainian lost Kevin Anderson from South Africa (APR 656), who ranked 5th in the rankings at the peak of his career and was a finalist for the US Open 2017 and Wimbledon 2018.

The tennis players, who had not played a match among themselves before, ended their first meeting with the defeat of the Ukrainian in two sets in 1 hour 21 minutes.

In the next round, the winner of the match will take the field against Laurent Lokoli of France or Tomas Machas of the Czech Republic.
