Ukrainians find their first opponent in the heart of the US Open
The main draws for the US Open have been drawn. There will be at least five representatives of Ukraine in a row this year.
Elina Svitolina (No. 26 WTA) will face German Anna-Lena Friedsam (No. 88 WTA) in the first round.
Angelina Kalinina (No. 28 WTA) will face Sarah Sorribes Tormo from Spain (No. 95 WTA) at the start of the match.
Martha Kostyuk (No. 39 WTA) will start the fight with the fourth seeded Elena Rybakina (No. 4 WTA) from Kazakhstan.
Lesya Tsurenko (No. 45 WTA) starts off with a duel with Canadian Bianca Andreescu (No. 51 WTA).
Katerina Beindl (No. 83 WTA) will face Anna Karolina Shmidlova (No. 63 WTA) from Slovakia in the first round.
It is worth noting that Dayana Yastremska is still struggling in the qualifying.
Competitions will begin on August 28.
