“I don’t play tennis for this, I’m not like that” – Medvedev on two losses to Alcaraz in the 2023 season
Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev said before the start of the US Open that in the event of a meeting with Carlos Alcaraz at the tournament, he would try to prevent the scenario of the previous two fights with the Spaniard.
In the current ex-first racket of the world and the current leader of the ATP rating, they met twice, in the final of the Masters in Indian Wells and in the semi-finals of Wimbledon. Medvedev lost both times – 3:6 2: and 3:6, 3:6, 3:6.

The US Open will run from August 28 to September 10. The total prize pool will be $65 million.
