(Paris) With the approach of the United States Open, the top of the ATP rankings remains unchanged on Monday, no player from top 20 world having participated in the ATP 250 tournament in Winston-Salem, won on Saturday by the Argentinian Sebastian Baez.
The place of world No. 1 remains occupied by the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, but is more threatened than ever on the first day of the last Grand Slam tournament of the season.
At Flushing Meadows, Novak Djokovic (2e) will only need to advance to the second round to secure their return to the throne, having skipped the U.S. Open last year for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine.
