US Open. Sakkari failed to qualify for the second round
Greek tennis player Maria SakkariIn the first round of the US Open, she lost to Spaniard Rebeca Masarova for eighth place.
In the first set, the Greek woman took a 4:1 lead, but then Masarova won five games in a row and won the set with a score of 6:4. In the second set, the opponents took turns winning their serve, until the Spanish tennis player took a timeout with a score of 3:3. Sakkari failed to win back and Masarova won the second set with a score of 6:4.
In the second round, Rebeka Masarova will be able to play against Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl if she beats Slovak Anna Karolina Shmidlova.
