“There is a feeling that this US Open could be a breakthrough for Rublev” – Tarpishchev

President of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev believes that Andrei Rublev will be able to prove himself at the upcoming US Open.
In the first round, Rublev will play Finnish representative Emil Ruusuvuori, whom he had previously lost in the second round of the Masters series tournament in Cincinnati. The match will take place on August 29.
– Rublev could benefit from the fact that he flew out in the first round at both Masters. Andrey needed a little break from tennis, to reboot. There are no concerns about his form ahead of the US Open. He should reach the quarterfinals, and then how it goes. There is a feeling that this US Open could be a breakthrough for Andrey, Tarpishchev told RB Sport.
The main draw matches of the tournament will be held in New York from August 28 to September 10.
