Safiullin, Karatsev and Mirra Andreeva made it to the second round of the US Open
Russian tennis players Roman Safiullin, Aslan Karatsev, Mirra Andreeva and Anna Kalinskaya advanced to the second round of the US Open.
Safiullin outplayed the Italian Marco Chekkinato in the first round, and Karatsev was stronger than Jiri Legechka. US Open debutante Andreeva defeated Australian Olivia Gadeki, Kalinskaya defeated Czech Katerina Sinyakova. Elina Avanesyan also advanced to the next round.
