In an interview with ESPN, Stefanos Tsitsipas was asked about, among other things, Lionel Messi, whom he dreams of meeting and talking to someday.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently in the United States for the US Open after advancing to the second round following a win over Raonic.

Speaking to ESPN, the Greek tennis player explained that he is a fan of Lionel Messi as he was a supporter of Inter Miami before ‘Pulga’ moved to MLS and of course he was thrilled when the transfer happened. In his statements to the American broadcaster, he mentioned, among other things, that it was his dream to meet him and talk to him for two to three minutes.

I have seen everything. I’ve seen all the games. I was an Inter Miami fan before Messi came. It’s the US team that I support. When I saw this coming I was the happiest person.

He’s one of my favorite players. He is a simple and beautiful person, not just an athlete. I admire many things about Messi and I hope to meet him for two or three minutes to talk to him. That would be my dream. I had the opportunity to see a New York Red Bulls game in person but couldn’t because I was busy“.
