VIDEO. Hot match between Dimitrov and Molchan, Khurkach’s super comeback at US Open
On the night of August 30, the first round games of the US Open Tennis Championship 2023 came to an end.
Famous Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria, ATP 19) defeated Alex Molchan (Slovakia, ATP 115) in five sets in 4 hours 40 minutes.
The Bulgarian lost 0:2 in sets and 2:5 in the fifth game, remaining with three match points, including a 7:9 super tiebreak in the fifth set.
After that, Grigor will meet with Andy Murray.
Another great comeback came from Hubert Hurkacz. Pole lost 0:2 in sets to Mark-Andrea Huesler, served at the beginning of the third set, and Huesler served for the match in the 10th game of the 3rd set. However, Hurkach managed to return to the game in time and win the match.
In the 2nd round of the competition, Hubert will play against Jack Draper.
