38 year old American tennis player John Isner (ATP 157) got off to a successful start at the 2023 US Open.
In the 1/64th final of the American Major Pushka, John beat the Argentina representative in three sets Facundo Diaz Acosta (Argentina, ATP 94) 2 hours 38 minutes.

It was the first meeting of tennis players.
In the second round of the US Open, Isner will face Michael Mmo (USA, ATP 89).
For John, this is the last tournament in his career. After the match, he was presented with a montage and photo collage of unforgettable moments at the US Open at a ceremony on the field. Later, his family, wife, four children and friends came to Isner. The American burst into tears as his eldest son rushed towards him.

If it weren’t for tennis, I wouldn’t have met my wife. I wouldn’t have a family as wonderful as I have. 4 cute babies. That’s the whole point. I hope I can keep playing some more. My grandparents will remember how their father played. I think it’s a very special feeling,” Isner said.
