“Rublev is physically stronger and functionally stronger than Monfils, his victory is natural” – Selivanenko

Vice-President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Alexei Selivanenko called the victory of Andrei Rublev over the Frenchman Gael Monfils in the second round match of the US Open Tennis Championship logical.
The meeting took place on Thursday and ended with a score of 6:4, 6:3, 3:6, 6:1 in favor of Rublev.
– Andrey confidently held the meeting. Gael is always unpredictable, the audience loves him, with him you always have to be ready for any turns of the game. But Andrey is now still both physically stronger and functionally stronger, therefore, in principle, such a result is generally logical, ”RB Sport quotes Selivanenko.
Rublev’s next opponent at the US Open will be Arthur Rinderknech of France. The game will take place on Saturday, September 2.
