The first Russian champion of the Australian Open and Roland Garros in the mixed doubles, Andrey Olkhovsky, spoke about the upcoming match of the 1/8 finals of the US Open, in which the third racket of the world, Russian Daniil Medvedev, will play with the representative of Australia, Alex De Minaur.

On Sunday, Medvedev advanced to the fourth round of the US Open, beating Argentinean Sebastian Baez 6:2, 6:2, 7:6 (8:6).

– I believe that the upcoming match between Medvedev and De Minaur will be different from the previous one. Daniil last time played in a different style, too active for himself. He and the team should learn from that recent defeat in Toronto.

De Minaur is a very formidable opponent, but in a five-set format there should be a different game. Daniil needs to catch his rhythm this time, – Olkhovsky is quoted by RB Sport.

The match between Medvedev and De Minaura will take place on Monday, September 4.
