Carlos Alcaraz: “I have fewer mistakes”
Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaras (ATP #1) shared his views on reaching the 1/4 finals of the US Open.
In the 1/8 final match, as you know, the 20-year-old Murcia native outstripped the 61st racket of the world, Italian Matteo Arnaldi, in three sets – 6:3, 6:3, 6:4.
“Looking at the intensity from the beginning to the last ball, I think I played a really solid game. There are fewer mistakes. I played my game. “I’m really happy with my performance and I’m happy that this game is over,” said Alcaraz.
Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz, who reached the quarterfinals of a major in New York, became the second-youngest player in history to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam tournament four times in a row. The Spanish actor was only older than Bjorn Borg, who made a similar series in the mid-1970s at the age of 19.
