Russian Daniil Medvedev qualified for the Final Tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the fifth time in a row, according to the organization’s website.
This happened after the tennis player defeated Australian Alex De Minor in the fourth round of the US Open.
Earlier, Spaniard Carlos Alcaras and Serb Novak Djokovic received the right to speak at the ATP Final Tournament.
“It’s just nice to get official confirmation. I can just stay at home and still go to Turin, which is close. It would be a good trip,” Medvedev joked, noting that he was pleased to qualify for the tournament so early along with Alcaraz and Djokovic.
In 2020, the Russian became the winner of the Final Tournament, in 2021 he reached the final. In 2023, the Final Tournament will be held in Turin from 12 to 19 November.
