Ben Shelton won a 3-1 set against Francis Tiafoe to reach the semifinals of the US Open where he meets Novak Djokovic.
Tennis fans watched a great match between Ben Shelton and Francis Tiafoe in which the former won 6-2 3-6 7-6(7) 6-2 to qualify for the US Open semi-finals.
The 20-year-old American was once again extremely aggressive in his game, as evidenced by the 50 winners he scored compared to his compatriot’s 33.
Shelton completely dominated the first two sets, Tiafoe reduced the set to 2-1 by winning the tiebreak in the third set, which was decided in detail.
In the fourth set, Shelton continued the pace of the first two sets and pulled off the big win that secured him a ticket to the semifinals.
There he meets Novak Djokovic and his task will certainly be difficult, but the 20-year-old American has already achieved great things.
