Former world number one plans to return to the Tour in January next year

Number one in the old world Angelique Kerber He is set to return to the WTA tour in January 2024.

He is reportedly training with his former trainer Torben Beltz at his academy in Puszczykowo, Poland. Angelique plans to hold two tournaments ahead of the Australian Open, which she won in 2016.

Note that Kerber gave birth to a daughter named Liana in February 2022.

Until recently, Torben Beltz was the coach of Estonian Anette Kontaveit, who has retired from the sport. Prior to that, Emma trained Raducana for five months. Kerber became the world’s first racket under the guidance of a German expert.

Angelique Kerber has won three Grand Slam tournaments during her career: Australian Open 2016, US Open 2016 and Wimbledon 2018. She also finished 2016 with the title of the world’s first racket.
