Former Russian tennis player Andrey Olkhovsky believes that Andrey Rublev outmaneuvered Britain’s Jack Draper in the fourth round match of the US Open due to pace, consistency and playing on the back line.
On Monday, Rublev defeated Draper 6:3, 3:6, 6:3, 6:4. The match lasted 2 hours and 44 minutes.
– Andrey withstood both the pace and stability. The only breakdown was after a lost serve in the second set. But Andrei looked very good. Rublev outplayed Draper from the back line, there were not very many exits to the net. It’s a very good match in terms of pace and stability,” Olkhovsky is quoted by the “Championship”.
In the quarterfinals, Rublev will face world number three compatriot Daniil Medvedev. The game will take place on Wednesday and will start at 20:30 Moscow time.
