Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Alexei Selivanenko said that the US Open quarterfinal match between Daniil Medvedev and Andrei Rublev would be principled and interesting, noting that he saw no reason to single out the favorite of the meeting.
Medvedev and Rublev will compete for reaching the semi-finals of the tournament on Wednesday. The beginning is at 20:30 Moscow time.
– Getting into the “last eight” at the Grand Slam tournament is always a significant event for any tennis player. Medvedev and Rublev got to this stage quite confidently, each with its own nuances in previous matches. Their face-to-face meetings are always important and interesting, no matter what tournament and in what round they take place. I don’t see the point in making predictions, we’ll see everything on the court, ”Championship” quotes Selivanenko.
The score of personal meetings is 5:2 in favor of Medvedev.
