Alcaraz comments on US Open semifinals
World Ranking Leader Carlos Alcaraz He commented that he will face third-seeded Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals of the US Open.
“I think I’m more mature. I’ve matured a lot since last year. Last year I reached the semi-finals for the first time in a Grand Slam tournament. Now I’m out for the fourth time. I feel like I’m a completely different player. I’m better at dealing with pressure. I feel different.
It would be great to play Novak in the finals in New York, but the semifinals for both of us are tough, we’ll see. Frankly, we’re both aiming for this potential finale,” Alcaraz said.
Note that in the 1/2 finals, Djokovic will play against 20-year-old US Ben Shelton.
