Environmental activist glued himself to the floor during a US Open match

Climate change protesters stopped the US Open semi-final match between American Cori Gauff and Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic, delaying the match by almost an hour.

At the beginning of the second game, environmental activists wearing T-shirts with the slogan “End Fossil Fuels” began shouting slogans about saving the climate. After this, one of the protesters glued his feet to the floor on the podium.

The match was stopped for almost an hour, law enforcement officers detained environmental activists. The pause did not prevent Gauff from winning with a score of 6:4, 7:5.

In the final of the tournament, the American will meet with Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, the meeting will take place on September 9.
