Former tennis player Andrei Olkhovsky believes that only the error-free game of Russian Daniil Medvedev will help him beat Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals of the US Open.

ATP number three Medvedev will play world number one Alcaraz in the US Open semi-finals, with the approximate kick-off time at 2:00 Moscow time on Saturday.

— To beat Alcaraz, Medvedev needs to show his best tennis. It will be a little different game against Alcaraz because Carlos is not afraid to go forward. Alcaraz and Medvedev have played each other three times, two of them in 2023. In March, the Spaniard won the Masters final in Indian Wells with a score of 2–0; in July, in the semifinals of Wimbledon, he again won with a clean sheet – 3–0. At Wimbledon 2021, Medvedev was stronger than Alcaraz in three games.

American Ben Shelton and Serbian Novak Djokovic will play in the other Grand Slam semi-final.
