“Defeated a steroid robot.” The world is delighted with Medvedev’s sensational success in the USA

Many were rooting against Daniil, but now even Alcaraz fans are congratulating the Russian.

On Saturday night, Daniil Medvedev played in the semifinals of the US Open with the strongest tennis player on the planet and the main favorite of the prestigious tournament – Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The Russian’s chances of success were not assessed very highly, but this did not stop him from winning and delighting tennis fans.

Now even Alcaraz fans congratulate Daniil.

“Maddy’s Back”

In the semifinals of the US Open, Daniil Medvedev had to play against world number one Carlos Alcaraz. The bookmakers did not believe in the victory of our athlete, and during the match the American spectators actively cheered against him. Even many Russian fans, to be honest, considered his reaching the finals unlikely. However, the Russian wiped the nose of skeptics and ill-wishers, defeating a formidable opponent in four sets in a brilliant manner. And at the same time he made tennis fans on both sides of the ocean admire his game:

— Medvedev is a great player. It’s so sad to see that the media doesn’t pay attention to him and only talks about Alcaraz. The press was confident that Alcaraz would play against Djokovic in the final. Now eat this – Meddy is back. Don’t forget guys that he has already been to several finals and won one of the Grand Slam tournaments.

“I hate it when people write him off.” Medvedev is a brilliant player who can actually play even better than he currently does. I’m glad he won.

— Victory over the crowd is always something special!

“Nobody believed it, because Alcaraz is a steroid robot, an improved version of Nadal.

Not only those who always support the Russian, but also fans of Alcaraz and even an adequate portion of the Russian’s ill-wishers were forced to recognize Medvedev’s superiority.

— I’m a big fan of Alcaraz. He is doing something incredible at such a young age… But today I admire Daniil… He gave it his all – a well-deserved victory.

“I really don’t know what to say about this match, to be completely honest. All I can think is, “He can beat anyone on hard court.”

— I was there live. We were all rooting for Carlos to move on, but Medvedev played an incredible match… I hope he can do the same with Novak.

“Everyone wrote him off, including me.” But I was so happy about the victory. What a warrior!

“Big Boss is on the Way”

Russian fans and personal fans of Medvedev from other countries also did not hold back their emotions after the victory of their idol. For them, Daniil’s success was not unexpected – many sincerely believed that it was possible to beat Alcaraz, and at the same time remembered that unfriendly stands only help our tennis player.

“With this brilliant performance, Daniil demonstrated why he is a champion. He fought not only Alcaraz, but also the crowd.

“I’m glad he won, even when most of the audience was against him.”

– Definitely the best match of the tournament. Simply incredible tennis!

“I think a lot of people lost a lot of money today by betting against Meddie.”

– The Spaniard got the hang of it! Danya is great, he tore the hot water bottle like an ace. Good luck in the finals!

– Danya is beautiful! It was worth staying up late!

— The victory of a Russian in the men’s tournament and a Belarusian in the women’s tournament in the USA… It will be hilarious.

– Go ahead, Daniel! Now the big boss is on the way!

Yulia Starodubtseva – Ayla Tomlyanovich. Prediction and announcement for the Australian Open match

On November 19, Yulia Starodubtseva (WTA 110) and Ayla Tomljanovic (WTA 76) will start competing at the Australian Open.

The meeting is planned to start at 08.00 Kyiv time.

Sport.ua together with a betting partner bet announcing the upcoming fight!

Yulia Starodubtseva

The Ukrainian athlete has already played six matches this season and won five of them. Starodubtseva started with a tournament held in Auckland, where she successfully qualified by beating Frenchwoman Ponchet and Austrian Tagger. Katie Boulter suffered defeat in the first round of the main round.

The tennis player also started the Australian Open with the qualifiers, where she beat the Frenchwoman Tubello 6:2, 3:6, 6:0. Then there were victories against the Greek Papamikhail, 6:1, 6:2. In the qualifying final, Starodubtseva defeated Bulgarian Tomova with sets 7:6, 6:2. The Ukrainian player is in good form ahead of this season’s first Grand Slam.

Ayla Tomljanovic

The Australian athlete is a typical middle player in world tennis. Even though there are breaks, it has been in the top 100 for a long time. Tomlyanovich is 32 years old, he can already be considered a veteran. Although the Australian Open is a tennis player’s home tournament, he performs worst here because he has never been able to advance beyond the second round.

Tomljanovic started this season with a tournament in Brisbane, where she defeated France’s Jacquemo with scores of 6:1, 6:3 and then lost in a tough fight to the powerful Carolina Muchova with scores of 6:4, 1:6, 6:7. There was also a tournament in Adelaide where they managed to beat Clara Towson 7:6, and the opponent refused. Ayla, who was ahead 2:0 in the first set of the second round, withdrew from the match due to a knee injury at 40:40 in her serve. It is unclear at this time whether he is 100% physically ready.

personal meetings

Tennis players met only once, it was in September last year, then in Beijing Tomljanovic managed to win in two sets: 7:6 and 6:2.

To guess

This couple does not have a clear favorite, maybe it will be easier for the Australian, the public will support him, his body is more accustomed to such a time zone. For tennis players at this level, every victory in a major is extremely valuable.

I am waiting for a difficult and unpredictable match that can end with any outcome, I will bet on more than 20.5 matches for 1.66.
