Representative of Kazakhstan Anna Danilina and Finn Harri Heliovaara became winners of the US Open tennis championship in mixed doubles.
In the final, Danilina and Heliovaara defeated the American duo Jessica Pegula/Austin Krajicek, who was seeded number one in the tournament. The match lasted 1 hour 12 minutes and ended with a score of 6:3, 6:4.
For Danilina, who competed under the Russian flag until 2010, the Grand Slam title was the first in her career (including singles, doubles and mixed doubles). Heliovaara also won a tournament of this level for the first time.
