Coco Goff reflects on her victory over Sabalenka in the US Open final
American tennis player Coco Goff commented on her victory against Aryna Sabalenka in the US Open final match. The 19-year-old Florida native scored a famous victory in three sets, 2:6, 6:3, 6:2.
“It means a lot to me. I’m feeling a little shocked right now. The defeat at the French Open was very sad for me, but I realized that God had sent me to hardships and trials, and that made this moment even sweeter than I could have imagined.
My dad took me to this tournament when I was a kid and I sat there and watched Venus and Serena fight, so to be on this stage is really incredible,” Goff admitted after the final match.
Let us also remind you that Goff will become the third racket in the world on Monday, September 11th. By winning in New York, Coco won her first Grand Slam title.
