Sabalenka explained the reason for her failure in the US Open final

Goff moved very well and played better defense than anyone. There were important moments in the second set where I lost and those moments helped him turn the game around. From there, all that was left was his incredible defensive play. But I can say that I lost this match because of these important moments in the second set, which had more to do with me than with Goff,” Sabalenka said at the press conference after the meeting.
