Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, after winning the US Open, topped the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.

Djokovic beat Russian Daniil Medvedev in three games in the final of the tournament. Thanks to this success, the 36-year-old Serb returned to first place in the ranking, displacing Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.

Medvedev retained third place, US Open quarterfinalist Andrei Rublev rose two positions and became sixth, Karen Khachanov lost four places and is now 15th.

The women’s world rankings were topped by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka for the first time in her career, despite her defeat in the final of the US Open. The winner of the tournament, American Cori Gauff, came third.

The first racket of Russia is still Daria Kasatkina, who moved from 14th to 12th place. Also in the top 20 of the ranking are Lyudmila Samsonova (17), Veronika Kudermetova (18) and Ekaterina Alexandrova (19).
