Tony Nadal, uncle and former coach of Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal, talked about the possible timing of his nephew’s return to the court after his hip injury.

“Rafa is fine, he is recovering. Toni Nadal said, “If everything goes well, he wants to return to the field at the Australian Open in 2024.”

As it is known, the captain of the Spanish national team, David Ferrer, had previously said that 37-year-old Nadal plans to return to the field at the end of 2023 if the national team qualifies for the Davis Cup final.

Let’s remember that earlier this summer, 22-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal had surgery on the iliopsoas muscle in his left leg. It was initially reported that the Spaniard would need five months to recover.
