Molchanov and Vega Hernandez reach Challenger semi-final in Poland

Ukraine’s first racket in doubles Denis Molchanov and his Spanish partner David Vega Hernandez He reached the semi-finals of the Challenger held in Szczecin, Poland.

The Ukrainian-Spanish duo achieved a strong victory against local tennis players Max Kasnikowski and Lukasz Kubot, losing the first set 4:6. In the second game, Molchanov and Vega Hernandez took a 4:1 lead and didn’t let it slide, giving up just one game on their way to winning the set. In the last set, the Poles took the lead with a score of 5:1, but the Ukrainian and Spanish tennis players won seven consecutive draws. Kasnikowski and Kubot won both serves, then Molchanov and Vega Hernandez closed out the match with serves.

In the semifinals, Denis Molchanov and David Vega Hernandez will play against another Ukrainian, Vitaly Sachko, and Czech Andrew Paulson, who beat Vladislav Manafov and Ivan Lyutarevich, also from Ukraine, in two sets.
