Serbian Novak Djokovic, who is the leader in the world rankings, talked about his goals for the rest of the 2023 season. The 36-year-old player, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, said that maintaining his leading position in the world is not a priority for him.

“Finishing the season ranked number one in the world might be a bonus to a great year, but it’s not a priority. My priority this season was to win the Grand Slams. I won three and reached the final in the fourth. This is a perfect year for me, not to mention representing my country. Everything that happens from now on anything will be a bonus,” Djokovic said.

As you know, Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open, Rolland Garros and US Open in 2023. The Serbian player also played in the Wimbledon final, but lost to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.

It was previously reported that Djokovic is the 2023 leader in total minutes spent on court in Grand Slam tournaments.
