Tsitsipas travels to Vancouver to lead the European team at the Laver Cup
After the Davis Cup, Stefanos Tsitsipas moves to the Laver Cup and immediately leaves Athens for Vancouver, where he will lead the European team.
Greece was eliminated from the Davis Cup by Slovakia, with Stefanos Tsitsipas fulfilling his duties in the Greek team, playing two singles and one doubles match with a record of one win and two losses.
The top Greek tennis player is ready to head to Canada after leading Team Europe at the annual Laver Cup, which this year takes place in Vancouver from September 22-24.
No. 5 in the world and best-placed tennis player at this year’s Laver Cup will take part in the spectacular event and try to put Team Europe back on the throne after last year’s defeat against Team World.
Specifically, the European team consists of: Andrei Rublev, Kasper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacs, Davidovich-Fokina and Gael Monfis, during Davidovic-Fokina will replace Holger Rune, who withdrew due to injury. The captain of the European team is Björn Borg.
On the other hand, the World Team led by John McEnroe consists of: Taylor Fritz, Francis Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, Ozer Aliasim and Francisco Cerudolo.
