Tsitsipas withdraws from Laver Cup
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas, who ranks 5th in the world rankings, will not be able to take part in the 2023 Laver Cup. He refused to play due to his injury.
Tsitsipas will be replaced in the European team by 19-year-old Frenchman Arthur Fiss (No. 44 ATP). Let us remind you that earlier Dane Holger Rune (No. 4 ATP) refused to participate in the tournament. He also left the team due to injury. Instead, Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina will play for the European national team.
In addition to Fis and Davidovich-Fokina, the European team will include Andrey Rublev (No. 6 ATP), as it is known, Kasper Ruud from Norway (No. 9 ATP), Pole Hubert Hurkacz (No. 16 ATP) and Gael. Monfils from France (No. 146 ATP).
Laver Cup will take place in Vancouver (Canada) from 22 to 24 September
