Poznikhirenko reaches second round at ITF tournament in Berkeley
Ukrainian tennis player Anna Poznikhirenko American reached the second round of the ITF World Tour W60 tournament in Berkeley, California.
In the first round match, Poznikhirenko defeated French tennis player Marine Parteau. With a score of 2:2 in the first set, the Ukrainian made two breaks and won four games in a row. At the beginning of the second game, the tennis players exchanged breaks and with a score of 4:3, Poznikhirenko took another game with her opponent’s serve and then closed the match with her own serve.
Anna Poznikhirenko’s opponent in the second round will be local tennis player Victoria Hu, who beat another American eighth seed Makenna Jones in two sets.
