TSURENKO: “There should be a tennis center in the liberated Ukrainian Crimea”
Ukraine’s fourth racket Lesya Tsurenko He explained what goals Ukrainian tennis has now.
– We want to end the war! And then consider the future of tennis. Because today this is not the most urgent issue.
– But one day the war will end, then what should be done first in tennis?
– It is worth establishing a holistic education system in Ukraine in the future. He has a hard time playing tennis. In particular, it includes tennis players and coaches, fitness mentors. There are also physiotherapists who understand how to rehabilitate tennis players. Psychotherapists are also needed today. Because the psychological health of a tennis player is very important.
There should be many courts in Ukraine. And not just the courts, but also educational spaces. My dream is for all major cities to have tennis centres. And there should be such a training base in the liberated Ukrainian Crimea. So much so that our tennis players who need training in the winter do not go abroad for this. So you can prepare in the mountains, by the sea, because Crimea is generally an ideal place.
But first we must win the war! Then, like everything else in our country, we will start rebuilding the tennis facilities.
