16-year-old Ukrainian tennis player reaches the first quarter-finals in 2023

16-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Elizaveta Kotlyar (WTA 1330) reached the quarter-finals in the challenging ITF W15 series tournament held in Monastir (Tunisia).

In the second round of the competition, the Ukrainian player defeated the German representative in three sets. Anya Wildgruber (WTA 805).

This was the girls’ first date.

In the quarter-finals of the tournament in Monastir, Elizaveta will face 3rd place Gina Feistel.

For Kotlyar, this will be the 3rd quarter-final of his career at the professional level and the 1st quarter-final in 2023. The Ukrainian has only reached the semi-finals once in ITF competitions. In August 2020, Elizaveta reached the final stage 1/2 of the 15,000-meter dirt climb in Bydgoszcz.
