Kasatkina lost devastatingly to Pegula in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Tokyo

Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina failed to reach the semi-finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo.
The Russian, seeded sixth, was defeated by American Jessica Pegula (2) with a score of 1:6, 0:6. The meeting lasted 59 minutes.
Pegula will play in the semi-finals of the tournament with the winner of the match between Greek Maria Sakkari (4) and French Caroline Garcia (5). Russians Veronika Kudermetova (8) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will meet in the second semi-final.
