Kundermetova will face Sakkari in the final of the tournament in Tokyo if she beats Pegula
Veronika Kundermetova will be Maria Sakkari’s opponent in the final of the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, as she defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the first semifinal after a fight lasting at least three hours. The Greek champion meets Jessica Pegula.
Maria Sakkari met her opponent in the final of the tournament in Tokyo, as she will face Veronika Kudermentova (No. 19 in the world rankings) if, of course, she overcomes the obstacle of Jessica Pegula in the second semifinal.
Kundermetova defeated her compatriot Pavlyuchenkova, winning 2-1 sets (7-6, 6-7, 6-3) in a match that lasted more than three hours.
