Russian Veronika Kudermetova beat compatriot Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the semifinals of the WTA tournament in Tokyo.
The tennis players spent almost three and a half hours on the court. Kudermetova served 16 times, making two double faults, Palyuchenkova made three aces, making 11 double faults.
26-year-old Kudermetova will play in the final with the winner of the pair Maria Sakkari (Greece, 4) – Jessica Pegula (USA, 2).
