2022 Asian Games tennis champions announced

The tennis tournament at the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China has ended.

Representatives of the home team won the singles competition. In the men’s final, Zhang Zhizhen beat Japanese tennis player Yosuke Watanuki in two sets, and in the women’s final, Zheng Qingwen beat another Chinese player, Zhu Lin, in two sets.

Taiwanese tennis players became the champions of the tournament in doubles. Xu Yuxiou and Jason Zhang beat Indians Saket Muneni and Ramkumar Ramanathan in straight sets, while Chan Haoching and Latisha Chan also beat fellow Taiwanese Li Yaxuan and Liang Enshuo in straight sets.

In the mixed doubles tournament, Rutuja Bhosale and Rohan Bopanna defeated Taiwan’s Liang Enshuo and Huang Conghao in three sets.
