VIDEO. Monfils. The French defeated the Russian and remembered Svitolina’s husband
19-year-old French tennis player Arthur Fis (ATP 44) won the opening match of the tough ATP 1000 series tournament held in Shanghai (China).
In the 1/64 final of the Masters, the Frenchman defeated Russian Pavel Kotov (ATR 103) in two sets with a score of 2:0 (6:1, 6:4).
After the fight was over, Arthur wrote into the camera:
“I move like Monfils.”
Fis remembered the French husband of Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina Gael MonfilsThe one they played with for Team Europe in the 2023 Laver Cup.
In the second round of the tournament in Shanghai, Arthur Fiss will play against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, ranked 24th.
