On October 8, the final match was played in Lisbon (Portugal) on clay competition. Flavio Cobolli (Italy, ATP 121) and Benjamin Hassan (Lebanon, ATP 189).
The 21-year-old Italian player won in two sets with a score of 2:0 (7:5, 7:5).
For Cobolli, this trophy was his first in 2023 and the second in his career at Challenger level.
After the match, Flavio celebrated his victory in Cristiano Ronaldo’s style. Near the net, Hasan showed his middle finger to the Italian, but not out of anger. Flavio and Hassan are good friends off the field.
We should also point out that in the second round of the tournament, Cobolli won against Ukraine’s second player, Alexey Krutykh, in two sets.
